Ingredients for making lahsun curry.
Garlic – about one to two peeled cloves.
Tomatoes – about 4 peeled tomatoes
Cumin seeds – a pinch
Mustard seeds – half a teaspoon
Oil – half a teaspoon
Red chilli – half a teaspoon
Turmeric – less than half a teaspoon
Coriander – one teaspoon
Asafoetida – a pinch
Kasuri methi – one teaspoon mashed by hand
Salt – according to taste
Method of making lahsun curry.
First of all, lightly crush the peeled lahsun on a stone, do not crush it too finely. Chop the peeled tomatoes into small pieces. Heat the oil in a pan, after it gets hot, add cumin seeds and mustard seeds. Also add asafoetida to it.
Now reduce the flame a little and add the crushed lahsun, as soon as the garlic is cooked lightly, add chopped tomatoes to it. The thing to be noted here is that while adding garlic, keep in mind that the oil should not be too hot, otherwise the garlic will burn and the vegetable will be spoiled.If you want, you can also add tomatoes immediately after adding garlic, this will prevent the garlic from burning.
Now let it cook for a while and then add red chilli, turmeric powder, coriander powder and mix it and let it cook. When it is mixed well, add hot water to it and cook for 5 minutes. You can add water as per your requirement, in fact one glass of water is enough. Which becomes medium thin. Now add Kasuri Methi and salt on top of it. lahsun ,tamaatar vegetable is ready.
Points to keep in mind.
Do not crush this too finely.
Remove the peel of tomatoes.
Do not add spices and lahsun in very hot oil.
This vegetable will taste good only when garlic is slightly raw.
There is a different pleasure in eating this vegetable by crushing it with roti.
