The Summer Vacation Journey
The train journey started like this, when Romi was about to turn 20, he thought of going somewhere and enjoying his summer holidays to the fullest. Usually Romi always stayed at his home during summer vacations, but this time he requested his uncle that from next year he will go somewhere else for studies, it is possible that after that he may not get summer vacations, so this time there is a chance, he will go somewhere with his uncle and have a lot of fun.
As soon as Romi said this, his uncle agreed to his proposal. Today Rumi’s happiness knew no bounds. He was tired of running around and telling his village friends that he was going on a trip this summer vacation. Romi was good at studies, so his uncle loved him a lot. His uncle also had two children, one of whom was named Sujash and the other was named Meiti. Both of his uncle’s children also loved Romi a lot.
Romi’s Journey to Uncle Home
Days passed like this. Today was the day when Romi had to go to his uncle’s house so that he could leave from there for a trip. Packing all his luggage, Romi reached the station with his father in great excitement. Papa put Romi on the evening train and said goodbye. Sitting in the train, Romi started daydreaming. Today the train journey seemed very long to him, he just wanted to reach his uncle’s house quickly and have a lot of fun.
After a long journey of 2 hours, Romi got down at a station a little far from his uncle’s house and left for home without telling his uncle. He thought that today he should give a surprise to his uncle. Now he had also grown up, so why should uncle be troubled every time. Sitting in the auto, he was looking at the colorful lights of the city and was feeling very happy. As soon as the auto wala bhaiya applied a strong brake and stopped the auto outside uncle’s house, suddenly Romi woke up from his nap, he did not even know that he had reached uncle’s house.
Uncle’Reaction to see Romi Alone
Seeing Romi alone like this, Chacha first wondered when did Romi grow up to be so big that he came alone. The very next moment he felt proud of Romi, when children stand on their own feet and start taking their responsibilities on their own, it is a proud moment for their family.
Romi took his bag from the auto, touched the feet of Chacha and Aunt, hugged his siblings and started talking among themselves. The next day everyone had to leave for the trip in the evening, so everyone slept early. Tired from the train journey, Romi was mumbling something in deep sleep. In the morning, Romi woke up to the sound of the temple bell. Everyone was busy packing their bags. Romi was having fun with his brothers.
Luggage Packing For Journey
This way the day passed, in the evening everyone was checking their luggage to go on the trip, Romi was sitting very happy in all this, he had remembered all his luggage at home and kept it in a separate bag. Soon it was evening and everyone reached the railway station with their bags and food items. The train was about to arrive in a while.
Romi was enjoying a lot as he was going for a trip after a long time. Hearing the long light and the sound of the horn from a distance, everyone got startled and stood with their luggage. The atmosphere was a little different due to the crowd but as soon as everyone started boarding the train, everything became fine in a short time. Romi also kept all his luggage properly, now the train was about to leave, so uncle took the news of everyone that everyone has boarded the train.
Soon the train started moving with a long horn and everyone sitting in the train started talking. Children were playing nearby. Other people were also enjoying their journey. Some of them were playing antakshari, some were playing entertaining games of their choice.
Romi Upset Little
Romi suddenly sat quietly as if he remembered his mother and father. It was quite late in the night by now while playing, everyone took out food from their bags and ate. Now everyone went to their seats and started preparing to sleep. In a short while, the entire compartment was silent. Romi was still not able to sleep, he was thinking how much fun it would have been if mom and dad had also come along.
At around 2 o’clock in the night, everyone was carrying their luggage and going here and there, Romi woke up but he thought that the station had come so someone must be getting down. Without worrying about anything, he quietly went to sleep.
Wrong Train Compartment
Now it was almost morning time, uncle and the children were still fast asleep. Romi felt something different, the train was almost empty and some new faces had come. He was feeling very restless but he did not pay much attention, as uncle was with him.
While talking, Romi talked to some people, Romi was completely stunned to hear that he was going in the opposite direction from his destination. Romi called uncle in a hurry, uncle also came soon in a panic. When Romi said that the train was going in the wrong direction, uncle thought that Romi was joking. But when he confirmed from the people nearby, he believed him. Uncle still could not understand how all this happened.
When he asked the people nearby, he came to know that at around 2 o’clock in the night, half the coaches of the train go in one direction and the other half go separately. The train splits into two parts from that station. Romi felt a little regretful, but what could be done now?
Soon, uncle got down at the next station with everyone after taking all the luggage and started waiting for the returning train.

Moral – Sometimes we become so happy that we commit a mistake knowingly and life gives us a new experience. But if we start feeling restless, then we should definitely understand that something is wrong. Nature always goes along with us and tells us about any unexpected incident by feeling it a little different, the one who understands it in time moves ahead otherwise we get a new experience of life which helps us in not repeating the mistake in future.
